Physiotherapy is required for all forms of Arthroscopic Orthopaedic Surgery, and should start right after surgery. Your doctor will advise you when to start.

There are many good physiotherapists, it is recommended that you find one close to your home in order to attend sessions easily. In most cases you will need assistance to go to physio, especially early after your surgery..

The Joint Preservation Centre does not endorse any particular physiotherapist. You can ask your Doctor for suggestions.

The Medical Services Plan of BC does not cover the physiotherapists charges. If you have extended benefits from your work, the coverage is usually enough for about 12 appointments.
